If you want defined and natural eyebrows, this is the perfect semi-permanent makeup technique. But achieving good results requires being meticulous with microblading aftercare.
It is also essential to go to a specialized center like our tattoo studio in central Madrid. This is key to ensure hygiene and safety measures and to have peace of mind knowing your skin is in the hands of specialists.
Guide for Microblading Aftercare
Aftercare following a conventional tattoo, piercing, or micropigmentation is key to avoiding infections and achieving the desired results.
During the first few days, we are usually very careful with aftercare, but gradually we tend to forget… Maintaining a proper routine will help achieve better results, with better pigment adhesion and healthier skin.
1.- First days: essential care
-
Keep the area dry: for the first 7–10 days, do not wet your eyebrows to allow the pigment to set properly. Also avoid long showers, pools, and saunas.
-
Do not scratch or touch the area: as the skin heals, the temptation to scratch arises, but you must avoid it to prevent infections or pigment loss.
-
Avoid makeup: it can increase the risk of infection, so do not apply makeup near your eyebrows during the indicated time.
-
Apply the recommended cream: this will help keep the area hydrated and aid healing.
-
Sleep on your back: avoid contact between your eyebrows and the pillow to prevent friction and pigment removal.
2.- First week: care for the pigment
-
Avoid sun exposure: UV rays can alter the pigment. If going outside, use a hat or sunglasses.
-
Avoid activities that cause heavy sweating: sweat can prevent the pigment from setting correctly.
-
Avoid acids and exfoliants in the area: any harsh products interfere with the healing process.
-
Do not remove scabs: scabs are normal and part of the process; removing them may cause color loss or scars.
3.- Long-term maintenance
-
Avoid aggressive treatments in the area: laser, chemical peels, or microdermabrasion will fade the pigment faster.
-
Use sunscreen: to maintain perfect color, apply high SPF protection.
-
Keep your eyebrows hydrated: once healed, apply moisturizing cream to keep the skin in good condition.
-
Touch-up if needed: 4–6 weeks after the procedure, a touch-up is recommended to ensure color and shape uniformity.
Microblading aftercare, like any tattoo or piercing, is essential to ensure proper healing and good results both short- and long-term.
